The Dymond S, S LP, and DSV share the same x-ray source, a 500W monoblock of the latest generation, which is also used in other models of the series. It is the result of years of development aimed at creating simple and versatile machines for inspecting rigid products (glass jars, bottles, cans, brickpacks). The air cooling system (Nema 4X air conditioning) allows the machine to operate over a wide temperature range without the need to install an external water cooler. The Dymond S can be installed on an existing straight conveyor belt, with a simple and very quick tube and sensor alignment procedure thanks to the numbered notch system. Due to an innovative design philosophy, all the main internal components are easily accessible and replaceable, and all internal parts of the machine are easy to reach and clean. With the Dymond S, Dylog offers a truly Plug&Play solution for rigid container products while maintaining inspection performance at an excellence level.
Increase in holding capacity.
The Dymond DSV offers high performance, as it fully utilizes the x-ray source’s aperture to illuminate two sensors positioned at 35°, allowing for an increased capacity to detect contaminants in the critical areas of the container (bottom, edges, cap) compared to a single viewpoint system. Additionally, the arrangement of the internal components does not require the typical ‘1 diameter’ spacing between products found in two-viewpoint machines with two sources, resulting in significant savings in both economic terms and space. Thanks to the absence of the spacing system and limited power, the shielding system (cover) is also considerably reduced, making it comparable to that of a single viewpoint machine, available in two variants: straight (with curtains) and with curves (as a “chicane”). Finally, this system benefits from the same straightforward alignment system for the source-conveyor belt-sensor that characterizes the Dymond S, allowing for a drastic reduction in installation time and easy adaptation to the transport systems of standard production lines.
The Dymond M and the Dyagonal are characterized by the presence of multiple x-ray sources. They have been engineered to allow for more in-depth control, especially when inspecting products with non-simple shapes, such as bottles or small glass jars. The Dymond M consists of three viewpoints, meaning it has three tubes (powered by three generators) and three sensors, arranged as follows: one tube aligned at the filling level dedicated to inspecting the area underneath the cap, which can be adjusted to fit all formats, and two diagonal tubes dedicated to the complete inspection of the bottom. To optimize the detection of contaminants that may be located in the areas adjacent to the edges, a patented arrangement of the three x-ray tubes on non-parallel axes, inclined at 5°, has been developed.
A diagonal radiograph
The Dyagonal features three x-ray sources and three different sensors. This allows for a more in-depth perspective on the product being inspected. The new diagonal radiographic unit has been designed to provide an efficient solution for inspecting small glass jars, plastic containers, cartons, and brick packs, focusing on the inspection of the bottom and cap areas. The system offers a solution capable of inspecting the entire area of the product, providing the customer with the right balance between price and performance. Its ease of maintenance is a common trait with all the machinery from Dylog Hitech.
